TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

You will need both a browser and a computer system to the following specifications in order to study online.

Browser: Version 6.0 or higher browsers of MS Internet Explorer are required for studying online.

Computer system: The following configurations are required as a minimum.

Communicating with academic staff and peers:

• Working from home or small office, you will need an Internet Service Provider (ISP). An ISP is a company that provides you with access to the Internet. IIIBF's courses are conducted primarily through the Internet. Without an ISP, therefore, it is difficult, if not impossible to undertake courses from home. Your chosen ISP will set up an account, and is your gateway to the Internet. If you do not know what your e-mail address is, check with your ISP.

• Network users: check with your network administrator to ensure you have full access to IIIBF's services. You will also need an e-mail address.
  

You will also need these plug-ins to view some of your study materials:

• Adobe Acrobat Reader: This is used to read PDF (Portable Document Format) files

• Real Player 10.0: This is required for your computer to receive streaming audio / visual material
